I have moved this post to a Saturday morning. for this week as an experiment. To see how Saturday traffic on linked picks up the post. I know you all read blogs and Linkedin on a weekend. I also know they are generally a quieter time for people posting. So I want to see if posting on Saturday perhaps gives a bigger slice of a smaller audience. If it works I might just leave it for Saturdays

New Pod Members

I have also had a few people requesting to join. It turns out the PetchaKetcha video, blog and Linkedin Post did reach a few people and the POD concept did pique the interest of a few new people. So welcome to everyone who has joined recently. If you would like to get involved feel free to check out my The top 1 tip to better promote your SQL Server Blog and if you prefer have a read of this blog post about our Linkedin and contact me, either here or through Linkedin if you want to join. It says in the video and the blog post, but to reiterate here, you do have to be a data professional creating content for the data platform to be in this pod. If that’s not you, this will be the wrong pod for you.

Plenty of great content on the pod this week. Thanks to all our great content creators out there. We have had

• Nikos Tsirmirakis published a blog and shared it on the signal group (We have a signal group too, for those that don’t like WhatsApp). The blog is called How to validate terraform script and run security static code analysis as a part of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline  and is well worth a read.
• Jean Joesph has been busy promoting his  T-SQL Windowing Functions session on 15th July. Jean also has a Future Data Driven event running in September. You can find out more and sign up here
• Paul Stanton wrote about Windock version 6.0 being released
• Kevin Chant
  • Kevin published his TSQLTuesday contribution. He wrote a really good post on containers Well worth a read.
  • He had a very interesting Twitter poll running. You will be able to see the results
  • Kevin also snuck a late Friday post in on Advantages of creating own Azure DevOps organization
• My post on The top 1 tip to better promote your SQL Server Blog We are also putting on a free webinar for project sponsors and how to make your projects successful. You can signup for that here 
• Justin Bird
  • Justin posted about his Data South Wales user group. The event has passed but it looks like it was a great event.
  • Justin also posted a fantastic post on creating GIFs which is well worth a read to sharpen up your images and content
• Not to be outdone and leaving it until Friday to post Nikola Ilic shows How to fit 200 million rows in less than 1GB!  There is a blog and a Youtube Video that are well worth a watch
