The more comments and likes you get the more opportunities you have to identify who is interested in your post.

What is a LinkedIn POD?

You can think of the Business Network Wales Linkedin POD as a small community of people and businesses who help each other out to help promote their Linkedin posts.

These posts can be on anything suitable for you or your business (see the rules below so you no what to avoid), and the purpose of the POD is to interact and engage with these posts.

The engagement (Commenting and liking) with the posts will generate interest in the post which is picked up by the Linkedin algorithm which will  then get your post in front of more of your network and thus: 

• Grow your profile
• Increase your reach 
• Improve lead generation for your business, 
• Raise your business profile 
• Increase traffic to your blog

Its pretty simple and straight forward, LinkedIn likes it when you post content on their site. They have an algorithm that looks at early interaction(how much interaction a post gets in the first two hours of publication).

From there, they decide on how many people in your network to show the post too. More Comments and Likes in the first two hours the more people in your network will see your post.

Linkedin, much like the readers of your posts, want you to create engaging posts. If your posts are not exciting or engaging, then Linkedin will only show your posts to a small percentage of your first-degree connections. If you write engaging posts that get lots of likes and comments, Linkedin will put your post into the feed of more of your first degree connections, thus improving your performance.

The POD is not to replace writing exciting and engaging content, but more to oil the wheels of your interesting posts. If you can get to 20 comments and likes in the first two hours of publishing a post then your post will very likely do well on Linkedin – Comments are king, likes are also excellent.

How to use the LinkedIn POD?

Using the POD is a simple process

1. Write and publish an engaging Linkedin post and publish during business hours.
2. Like your own post
3. When the Linkedin post is published, copy a link to the post and paste into WhatsApp group chat
4. Comment and like on All posts that have been submitted to the chat group that day, Also you must do it at 2 pm so early engagement pushes everyone’s post up the rankings. See your views improve

LinkedIn POD Rules

The rules. To make the POD effort as effective as possible. You must post at a consistent time, I have chosen 2 pm (BST/GMT) for this POD because just after lunch the early afternoon is a good time to post. For European members, your posts will benefit from the after lunch traffic. For members across the pond in the USA then you can still join and benefit from the POD as it’ll 9 am on the east coast

Rules

1. Any day you post to the POD you must comment and like on all other posts in the pod that day – it’s important to reciprocate. 
2. The content of your post must not offend or cause offence. (Avoid political/religious post and anything that could cause disagreement).
3. If a POD member disagrees with your content they are not obliged to comment and like it
4. If you don’t have time to comment and like on all posts that day, then don’t use the POD that day. If you don’t post anything in the POD on a given day you are not obliged to engage. (Although I’m sure anything you can do to help would be appreciated)
5. No abusive behaviour – Any abusive behaviour will see you ejected from the POD 
6. Only post once post per day to the POD
