Microsoft 365 Copilot Art of the Possible Session
What is a Copilot Art of the Possible session?
A Microsoft 365 Copilot Art of the Possible session is a 60-minute, demo-led, instructor-led format designed to shift how knowledge workers use Copilot in their day-to-day work. It is not foundational training. It targets organisations that have already rolled out Copilot, trained their people, and now need a behaviour change rather than further feature awareness.
Copilot was rolled out. The behaviour did not change.
Most UK organisations are past the buying decision on Copilot. Licences are deployed, foundational training has been delivered, and the all-hands launch happened months ago. What has not happened is the behaviour shift.
People are still using Copilot as a faster search box. They prompt, they read the answer, they paste it into Word. The Researcher agent has not entered their workflow. The Analyst agent is unused. They have never built an agent, never opened Notebooks, never seen Cowork. Productivity gains are real but flat, and the licence cost is starting to look harder to justify to the board.
This is not a training problem. It is an awareness and behaviour problem. The people in the room have already been shown what the buttons do. What they need is to see what is genuinely possible, anchored to work they actually do, demonstrated by someone who builds with these tools every week.
Who this session is for
This session is designed for UK organisations that have already:
- Rolled out Microsoft 365 Copilot to a meaningful population of users
- Completed foundational training or self-paced enablement
- Realised that average daily usage and behaviour change have not moved as expected
It is delivered to audiences of 30 to 1,500-plus knowledge workers, instructor-led, remote-first or in-person, with interaction via Q&A and chat. The session is paid, scoped, and prepared specifically for your organisation, your industry, and your workflows.
This session is not appropriate for:
- Organisations evaluating whether to buy Copilot. That conversation needs a Microsoft partner readiness workshop, not this format.
- Hands-on, lab-based skills training. See the AI Enablement Programme for that path.
- Generic feature demos that ignore your actual workflows.
The seven behaviour shifts
The 60 minutes is built around seven concrete behaviour changes. Each is anchored to a real workflow rather than a generic example. Demos are tailored to your industry during scoping.
| # | Old behaviour | New behaviour with Copilot |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Reading a long source document end-to-end before forming a view | Delegating the read to Researcher and reviewing a structured synthesis |
| 2 | Building Excel pivots and formulas to interrogate data | Asking Analyst to interrogate the dataset conversationally |
| 3 | Re-explaining the same brief to colleagues every time a similar task appears | Codifying the brief once as a shared agent the team uses |
| 4 | Pasting source documents into long chat prompts and losing context across sessions | Curating a Notebook as a persistent project workspace with grounded citations |
| 5 | Treating Copilot as a chatbot you visit | Treating Copilot as a workspace built around a matter, a project, or a client |
| 6 | Hearing about new Copilot features through colleagues, weeks late | Knowing what shipped this month and what it changes about how you work |
| 7 | Thinking AI ends at the chat window | Anticipating Cowork, where Copilot takes action across mail, calendar, and documents on your behalf |
The throughline of the session is one line: stop prompting harder, start delegating better.
How the 60 minutes is structured
Each segment is tightly timed. The session is rehearsed against the clock. The cadence is deliberate: enough time on each demo for the behaviour change to land, no time wasted on feature tours.
| Time | Segment | Mode |
|---|---|---|
| 00:00 to 00:05 | Opening and framing the behaviour shift | Talk |
| 00:05 to 00:12 | Researcher agent demo | Demo |
| 00:12 to 00:18 | Analyst agent demo | Demo |
| 00:18 to 00:33 | Build, configure, and share an agent | Demo |
| 00:33 to 00:38 | Notebooks and Audio Overview | Demo |
| 00:38 to 00:45 | What is new in Copilot this month | Talk + demo |
| 00:45 to 00:55 | Cowork preview | Showcase |
| 00:55 to 01:00 | Close and the Monday-morning action | Talk |
The build-an-agent segment
Fifteen minutes of the hour is spent building, configuring, and sharing an agent live. This is the centrepiece. The audience picks the scenario from a shortlist tailored to your business: a standard brief agent, a client deliverable formatter, a regulatory or policy summariser, or a new-starter onboarding agent grounded in SharePoint.
The agent is built end-to-end on the projector. Both build paths are shown: natural-language configuration via the Agent Builder conversation, and the structured Configure tab so learners understand what is being built underneath. Knowledge sources are added live (SharePoint, public websites), and licensing nuances are flagged honestly so learners understand which sources require the Copilot add-on.
Sharing scopes are demonstrated explicitly: just me, specific people, the whole organisation. Governance implications are flagged with the same honesty: any regulated organisation will have agent approval workflows, and IT will be involved for organisation-wide sharing. That is the right answer, not a blocker.
The framing matters. This is the moment the audience sees that a senior person on their team can codify their judgement once, and Copilot turns it into infrastructure every junior on the desk can use. That is the difference between Copilot as a productivity tool and Copilot as a leverage tool.
Tell me about your Copilot rollout, the audience size, and the workflows that matter most. I will tell you whether this session is the right fit, and what the scoping looks like.
Book a 30-minute discovery callWhy this is different from a Microsoft partner workshop
Most Copilot workshops on the market are partner-led, multi-phase engagements built around the Microsoft sales motion: assess readiness, demonstrate value, plan deployment. They are designed for organisations that have not yet bought Copilot.
This session is built for the opposite audience: organisations that already own Copilot and are not getting the behaviour change they expected. The specific differences:
Delivered personally by a Microsoft Certified Trainer
No subcontracting. No "our consultant will lead the session". I deliver the demos and answer the questions live.
Independent, not partner-aligned
The session is honest about what Copilot does badly, where Cowork is genuinely useful, and where SharePoint with sensitivity labels remains the right home for regulated material. A partner-led session has commercial pressure to soften those answers.
Built around your workflows, not generic personas
Demos are anchored to financial services, professional services, public sector, housing, or whichever domain matches the audience. The Researcher demo uses a document your people would actually read. The Analyst demo uses a dataset that mirrors your commercial reporting structure. The agent built in the centrepiece reflects how your teams actually work.
Behaviour-shift framing, not a feature tour
Every segment is structured around what learners stop doing and start doing, not what each button is for. Features will be forgotten by Friday. Behaviour shifts stick.
Scales to large audiences
Tested at 1,000-plus learners via Q&A and chat interaction, with no degradation in demo pace. Suitable for all-hands events, leadership conferences, or business-unit-wide sessions.
How the session is delivered
The session is remote-first, delivered live in Microsoft Teams. In-person delivery is available across the UK and Europe where the room, the audience size, and the logistics justify the travel.
Standard preparation includes:
- One scoping call to understand your industry, the maturity of your Copilot rollout, and the workflows that matter to your audience
- Tailoring of the Researcher, Analyst, Agent Builder, and Notebooks demos to your domain
- Pre-staged prompts and synthetic datasets so nothing about the demo touches sensitive or client material
- Backup recordings of each demo in case live Copilot services wobble under load on the day
- Refresh of the "What is new in Copilot" segment the week before delivery
A recording of the session is provided for internal replay. A one-page handout covering the seven behaviour shifts and the Monday-morning action is sent to attendees after the session.
About Gethyn Ellis
I am an independent Microsoft data and AI consultant and a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) with around twenty years in the Microsoft data platform. I work with UK mid-market and enterprise organisations on Copilot adoption, AI enablement, and Microsoft data platform engagements across SQL Server, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure.
I am not a reseller. I am not affiliated with a Microsoft partner. I deliver every session myself.
What happens after the session
The session is designed to land a behaviour shift on the day. Most learners can act on one of the seven shifts the following Monday without further support.
For organisations that want to follow through systematically, the natural next step is the AI Enablement Programme, a structured rollout that takes the seven behaviour changes from awareness to embedded skill across cohorts. The session works equally well as a standalone keynote at an all-hands, a leadership offsite, or a team-week kickoff. Both paths are valid. The discovery call is where we decide which fits your context.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the session?
Sixty minutes. The format is built and rehearsed for that duration. Longer formats are available where the audience benefits from a hands-on follow-on segment, but the core session is one hour.
Who is it for?
UK knowledge workers in organisations that have already rolled out Microsoft 365 Copilot and completed foundational training. Common audiences include all-hands meetings, leadership offsites, business-unit kickoffs, and team weeks.
Is the session free?
No. The session is a paid, scoped engagement tailored to your industry and workflows. Pricing is shared on the discovery call once audience size, delivery format, and tailoring scope are clear.
What is the difference between this and Copilot foundational training?
Foundational training teaches people how Copilot works. This session changes how they use it. The audience is expected to have already completed foundations. The session is demo-led, instructor-led, and behaviour-focused, not skills-focused.
Can the session be delivered remotely?
Yes. The default delivery is remote via Microsoft Teams. The format has been tested at audiences of 1,000-plus with Q&A and chat-based interaction. In-person delivery is available where the room and the logistics justify it.
Does it cover Microsoft Copilot Studio and custom agents?
It covers the Agent Builder experience inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, including live build, configuration, and sharing. Deeper Copilot Studio engineering, custom connectors, and enterprise agent governance are scoped separately under the AI Enablement Programme.
How much preparation is required from us?
One 30-minute scoping call. After that, all preparation, tailoring, dataset construction, and demo staging is handled. Your input is concentrated on the industry context and the workflows that matter most to the audience.
Can the session be recorded?
Yes. A recording is provided for internal replay. A one-page handout covering the seven behaviour shifts and the Monday-morning action is sent to attendees within 24 hours.
