We are building a high performing team of contractors who are based in the UK.

The UK contractor market has been under a fair bit of pressure over the last year, IR35 and economic shutdown that has occurred as a result of the pandemic have made life challenging for lots of small businesses. It hasn’t been easy being an IT Contractor running your businesses.

There are opportunities out there though, and things are picking up so don’t be too downhearted and hopefully we might have a chance for some IT contractors to take on additional work.

We are looking to put a team of contractors together to bid on a substantial project developing and supporting digital services. To be in a position to bid on this project successfully, we need a team of contractors that can help us deliver the work.

The Team

We will need contractors who can help us deliver the following:

• Technical Architect
• Lead Business Analysts
• Lead Developers (front & backend)
• User Experience Designer
• Lead QA Testers
• User Researchers
• Content Designer
• Scrum Master
• Junior Developer

Due to the nature of this, we are only looking to source people from my network. As such, we have no requirement for recruitment agencies to help at this stage. Depending on how the team formation works out, we may need help down the line and will be sure to ask for your help too. We know a couple of good agents that we have worked with before, we trust and would use for this but we are always open to working with new suppliers if the opportunity presents itself. However,  we want to see if our network can help with this opportunity first.

For the UK based IT contractors interested, we will need to bid on this work and win it, so it is not set in stone. There is much work to do but given the impending changes to IR35 next year gearing yourself to work on a fixed price basis will be a good thing for you business going forward, and you might end up with a lovely outside IR35 contract going forward.
