Blogs on the Pod – A Deer in the Wood Edition

With the summer holidays in full swing, there was no client work last week. I even took a little family trip to a well known outdoor activity centre and bumped into a deer and a rabbit.

Even with no client work and a nice, there has been a lot of activity on the POD with a more great content created

Despite the lack of work, well holiday, for me anyway, the POD has been busy creating fabulous content. Some of this week highlights include

  • Justin Bird – was promoting his South Wales user group, last week that had Alex Yates as a speaker. Sounded like a great session.
  • Adriano Da Silva was busy promoting his South Florida user group. Last week they had Thiago Alencar talking about migrating your SQL Server databases to Azure. Another great session on USA timezone. He also promoted his talk at Data TGIF which I’m told went very well.
  • Kevin Chant published a blog post looking at Azure Test Plans and uses Azure Data Factory as an example. Kevin also updated an old post showing to configure your laptop as an Azure DevOps agent
  • Nikola Ilic has got involved in a workout Wednesday and talks about magic tables. He also published a blog post discussing three ways to remove blanks from your PowerBI reports.
  • Jean Joseph was promoting future data-driven. It’s time to sign up if you aren’t signed up already
  • Torsten Strauß was promoting his talk on parallelism
  • Wolfgang Strasser – shared the new pricing structure for Purview. Wolfgang also shared a post on collection management and access control system
  • Damir MateÅ¡ić was promoting Data Saturday Croatia, which promises to be a fantastic, in-person event, that is running in September (10th and 11th) If you are able to travel there is a great lineup of speakers and content.

Other interesting posts that I have found interesting this week are

Mark Williams mentioned in a Linkedin post that Microsoft have put their pricing up on Microsoft 365 products

Jasper Kent, has a great series of videos on .net. They are well worth a watch and this week’s video is on injection dependency
